Earths Twin Planet Kepler-22b

Scientists think they have found a twin Planet to the Earth with similiar conditions to a Spring day on Earth and a very similiar orbit. This is still being observed as to whether it is an orbit they are seeing or possibly another star moving across the planet.

First Ever Image Of Fourth Order Rainbow

Image copyright to Michael Theusner

Double rainbows became an internet meme when a man placed a video of one on YouTube - complete with his hilariously exaggerated reaction, and sobbing voice, in the background.

Now a German sky photographer has gone not just one, but two, better: this photo reveals the first fourth-order rainbow ever reported - and only the second third-order rainbow to be photographed. It comes hot on the heels of the first ever photograph of a third-order rainbow - taken by another German sky photographer.

UFO discovered on the Ocean Floor

An ocean exploration team led by Swedish researcher Peter Lindberg has found what some are suggesting is a crashed flying saucer. Lindberg's team, which has had success in the past recovering sunken ships and cargo, was using sonar to look for the century-old wreck of a ship that went down carrying several cases of a super-rare champagne. Instead, the team discovered what it claims is a mysterious round object that might (or might not) be extraterrestrial.

Have scientists discovered a relic of a flying saucer whilst scanning the ocean floor. Will we find out. No I don't think so it would be far to big and expensive an operation to undertake to find out.

Joplinx Tornado

Charlie Reidel
A receipt from a tire store in Joplin, Mo., turned up 525 miles away on a front porch in north-central Indiana, a record distance for apparent tornado debris to travel, a Purdue University storm researcher reports.

"This paper traveled more than twice as far as the longest distance recorded for debris from a storm," said Ernest Agee, professor of earth and atmospheric sciences and tornado expert. The previous record was a canceled check that traveled 210 miles after the 1915 tornado in Great Bend, Kan.

The receipt, which was dated May 13 from Joplin Tire Center and folded into a quarter of its full size, landed in Royal Center, Ind., about 45 miles from West Lafayette, home of Purdue. The receipt was found Wednesday by Tia Fritz and her husband; she contacted Agee.

He told the university's news service that to reach Indiana the receipt would have to have been sucked into the tornado and then carried by the jet stream for 12 1/2 hours.

He explained that the distance paper travels is directly proportional to the intensity of the tornado. The Joplin tornado registered EF-5, the strongest, with winds topping 200 mph.

Roll Cloud Uruguay

Roll Cloud
Photo Daniela Eberl.... Las Olas beach

This type of cloud form ahead of a cold front and can stretch for miles.
They are most common when an advancing storm front causes moist air to rise, then cool to the point where it becomes a cloud known as the dew point. These do not form into tornadoes
